vision statement

Embrace envisions a courageous social change taking place ending all forms of oppression and violence and creating healthy communities where every person has the support to thrive.

liberation lens

Embrace leads by promoting liberation as a foundational practice for our anti-violence movement work.

1.    We center the voices of historically excluded survivors who are most harmed by intersecting oppressions and work toward their safety and liberation in order to necessitate the safety and liberation of everyone.

2.    We honor survivors as the experts in their own lives and in this work by listening, aligning, and partnering with them as an adaptable team that acknowledges their interlocking identities and experiences.

3.    We commit to advancing survivor-driven approaches by building connections and life-affirming opportunities in our communities that can transform harm into accountability and healing.

4.    We acknowledge our advocacy must include activism to challenge oppression and dismantle the complexities of societal power and white privilege that are the root causes of violence.
